Gulab jamun / Gulab Jamoon – the name itself tempts us very much right? Gulab Jamun is one of the sweet that you can prepare for almost any occasions. When you make gulab jamun you need to wait for at least 8 to 10 hours for all the syrup to get absorbed in jamuns.



Small size ball : 100 - 110 
Preparation time : 10 min
Cooking time : 40 - 45 min

Ingredients:
  • 500 gm gulabj jamun special khoya ( milk solids )
  • 250 ml milk
  • 120 gm all purpose flour ( maida )
  • ½ tsp cardamom powder ( elaiychi )
  • 1 pinch mace powder ( javantri )
  • 1 tsp hot ghee
  • 1 tbsp soaked saffron water
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • Ghee / Oil for frying
      For Sugar Syrup :
  • 750 gm sugar
  • 800 ml water
  • ½ tsp cardamom powder
  • 1 tbsp soaked saffron water

Preparation :
  • Make paneer from milk using curd or butter milk.
Method for Jamun :
  • Grate khoya.
  • Mix all ingredient of jamun and make soft dough.
  • Prepare small size ball.
  • Fry them on slow flame till golden brown color.
Method for Sugar syrup :
  • Mix sugar and water.
  • Heat it in thick bottom pan till sugar will get melt.
  • Turn off flame.
  • Add cardamom powder and saffron water.
Combine :
  • Allow jamun balls to cool.
  • While adding them in sugar syrup make sure syrup should be luck warm only.
  • Keep it aside them for 6-8 hours.
  • Garnish with almond and pistachio flakes.
  • Serve hot / chill.
